In response to some Public Interest Litigation (PILs) filed that contested that the fast cars would generate a huge amount of noise, The Judges have directed that organizers install a sufficient number of sound barriers around the proposed layout of the street circuit.
The judges observed that RPPL (Racing Promotions Private Limited - the Organiser) could not expect anything more than facilitation, coordination, and cooperation of the State authorities and that all monetary expenditure should be borne out only by the private company.

“RPPL shall also reimburse the expenditure made by the State government to the tune of ₹42 crore (for the creation of the street race circuit in the city) from the public exchequer prior to the conduct of the event,” Justice Mahadevan.

The High Court bench also said that RPPL shall also pay in Advance the State Govt the amount (15 crores for 2 years each) that the Govt planned to spend for conducting the race for three consecutive seasons in Chennai.

In 2023, The first-ever night street circuit race was postponed to 2024, The race was originally scheduled for December 9th and 10th, 2023, but due to the aftermath of Cyclone Michaung, the Race was cancelled and the entire season took place at the Madras International Circuit.

The Bench of Judges also noted that the in-patients of the Government Multi Super Speciality Hospital at Omandurar Estate, the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, or that Madras Medical College Hospital should not face any issues due to the organization of the Racing Event
